About Ben Power
Ben is a calm, level headed individual who carries this attitude on to the race circuit.
He hails from Motorsport background, His Grandfather Keith competed in the RAC rally on numerous occasions in the 1960’s, passing the Motorsport interest down to Ben’s father Nick and uncle, Gary who rallied successfully through the 1990’s.
Ben’s Motorsport career started at the age of 15, entering the MSA British Junior Rally-cross championship in a 1000 cc Rover Mini. His talent spoke for itself finishing 4th in his first season against the likes of future touring car champion Andrew Jordan.
Further success in the rally-cross discipline followed with several championship titles and many race wins at the wheel of his super modified Ford Sport KA.
2009 saw Ben make the switch to all tarmac circuit racing, entering the ultra-competitive UK legends cars championship. This was a massive learning curve for him with no rear wheel drive experience and 30 car grids in identical machinery. But it didn’t take long for Ben to establish himself as a front runner and become a serious contender for the title.
